I didn't get a chance to write the fourth post in this series. I planned to write on Silent Night. Talk about its origins. Talk about its popularity and even its role in the Christmas truce.

But I have no time left. It's Christmas Eve. So I'll just share my favorite rendition of the carol by Ed Cash, Allen Levi and Bebo Norman on the album, Joy

Every Christmas, after we decorate the tree, we've started this tradition of turning off all of the lights, laying under the light and ornament-laden tree and listening to this song. It marks the beginning of the season for me in many ways. But as we come to the evening before Christmas day, I wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas, Christ the Savior is born!
